Colorado Baby Shower

Erin, Katie, and Lynn with a cake made out of diapers that Lynn made. Katie put this shower together, and it was so good for Erin to be able to celebrate with her friends and family in Colorado.

The view just across the southern border of Colorado...ah, the fresh mountain air!

Christmas 2008

We were in Colorado for Christmas this year...here is a photo of Lynn and Allie (our neice) jamming. Both are naturals!

Mom and Dad came down here to Texas to celebrate Christmas with us in January. It was great to see them, and we are so thankful that they made the long drive for such a short time here in Texas. We had a good time opening presents and then going for a walk around the pond. It's always good to have face to face time with those we love. Thanks to Mom and Dad Funk for coming down here for such a short trip!

Thanksgiving in Clinton

Here's the Funk Clan together in Clinton for Thanksgiving, 2008

The pups are ready for a walk in Clinton! We think this is the first time Penny's left the state of Texas. She did great!

Since this picture was taken, we've had to give Penny up because she was having potty issues in the house. Thankfully, our neighbors down the street took her in and it worked out great because they have all tile in their house. She's in a great home, and we still get to see her every few days when she goes for walks. We miss her, but we know it's for the best, especially with a baby on the way.

OBU Reunion

Erin being held by Amanda, Shawna, Aimee, and Bethany. It was a great time to reconnect with friends and see how life is treating everyone. Nathan saw Josh at OBU while the girls did their thing. This was back in early November, 2008.

Passed Check Ride in the ATR-72

Here are some photos from the airplane that my fellow first officer and I flew this week with our instructor...it feels good to escape gravity, at least for a little while as we shot approaches and practiced single-engine operations.

It's always a huge sense of accomplishment when I pass a check ride in a new airplane. This is the biggest airplane I have ever flown, and it flew like a dream. Landing this thing is a snap. Unlike my last airplane, it doesn't feel like I'm landing on pogo sticks! It's nice to get back to normal, and even nicer to be back in the skies! I'll try to put some other pictures on here that are NOT flying pictures...it's just so hard not to do it, though!
